SkyLark’s SL NEO Media Servers & Processors are affordable, reliable and easy to use. The SL NEO series is the foundation of a modern IT-based automated broadcast facility.

SL NEO Media Servers are multi-format devices, containing all necessary functions to operate recording and play-out channels with sophisticated broadcast graphics. Simultaneous multi-channel recording and playback with dynamic multi-layered graphics are among these functions.

The main advantage of SL NEO series is the possibility to combine traditional broadcast technologies with new Channel-In-A-Box technology by supporting the most popular Third-party devices, such as: routers, switchers and VTRs. Modular architecture and distributed nature of the SL NEO software allows to find the optimal balance of the number of server systems and functions performed for any workflow and budget.

There are currently more than 600 SL NEO servers and signal processors operating worldwide in a multitude of configurations. Skylark has designed automation configurations for broadcast, production, archiving, on-air monitoring, web streaming, and many more media related operations and workflows.

By the NAB 2015 SkyLark Technology company has finished development of the new SL NEO server models working in Ultra HD 4K formats and High Frame Rate modes.

Channel In A Box Ultra HD from SkyLark has kept the usual functionality. Thanks to the support of new I/O platforms from Matrox and Blackmagic, the I/O interfaces are realized in formats 4х 3G SDI and 6/12G SDI. The set of functions is supplemented by the IP-streaming in UHD resolution with encoding to H.264 and HEVC (it should be mentioned that encoding to HEVC requires a high-productive platform with 40 cores CPU).

New servers work with frame frequency 25/29.97 and 50/59.94 (High Frame Rate) during playback and recording. Support of H.264 and HEVC codecs during playback for UHD files. Recording UHD signals is implemented with encoding to H.264. Multilayer graphic design in UHD resolution is  formed by the server itself, overlaying graphics is implemented both during the file playback and when working “on pass”.

    SL NEO 1000 Multi-Channel File Recorders

    SL NEO 1000 server line is a universal solution for automated multi-channel recording Analog or Ultra HD/HD/SD (HD/SD, 4х 3G/6/12G SDI) signals and/or MPEG Transport Streams to files. This series of servers is designed for use in production, archive, and broadcast facilities.

    Series 1000 servers have a wide spectrum of models with various numbers of input channels, AV signals and Transport Stream types (SDI/CVBS/YCRCB/TS over ASI/IP, Analog/AES/SDI Embedded Audio), depending on the model.

    Servers support the majority of commonly used compression formats and file containers, they integrate with archives and NLE systems, including Avid collective editing Storage, support VTR & Routers conrtol via RS-232/422/Ethernet.

Ultra HD support: 4х 3G/6/12G SDI I/O and/or Transport Streams.

    Series 2000 contains a wide choice of models with various quantities of output channels, signal types, and MPEG transport streams, depending on the model.     Series 4000 offer you multi-functional solutions for Time Delay from one second to several days for re-transmission after a specified time period. This server line includes a wide variety of server configurations with various numbers of input/output channels, Ultra HD/HD/SD (HD/SD, 4х 3G/6/12G SDI) or Analog AV signal types and MPEG2 transport streams, depending on the model.

    SL NEO 4000 short delay function is used to avert profanity, bloopers or any other undesirable material in live production (seven-second delay or profanity delay).

    SL NEO 6000 Compliance Recording, Monitoring and Logging

    The basic function of SL NEO 6000 series servers is recording of television and radio broadcasts (logging) and local or remote monitoring. These servers are capable of functioning in standalone mode and have several configurations with various numbers of recording channels, types of signals and MPEG2 transport streams. In parallel with the recording, IP broadcasting on the network takes place for remote online monitoring of on-air programs via low-speed communication channels.

    The SL NEO 6000 has a built-in Asset Management tool, search, viewing, and archiving management functions with a setting for the “lifetime” of each piece of material, protection of data from hardware malfunctions and unsanctioned access, simple editing, and export of fragments of materials from the media archive server to work stations and removable media.

    The SL NEO 7000 HD/SD Series Slow-Motion Replay Media Server provides functions of instant replay and slow motion for live sports production, webcast, and arena scoreboard displays. SL NEO 7000 gives you an opportunity to use up to 8 channels for capturing and 2 channels (PGM, PVW) to output plus additional HD SDI/HDMI MultiScreen output.

    Server allows instant access to the media being recorded from multiple cameras. It can be played back in slow-motion without recording interruption. The SL NEO 7000 is the optimal solution for replays when broadcasting sporting events, for real-time highlights editing, and real-time playback of stories, ads, and promos during broadcasting. Also, this series of servers can serve as a convenient tool allowing referees to study disputed incidents.

    SkyLark Technology introduces the SL NEO 8000 Hybrid Multiviewer, developed for baseband or hybrid applications with opportunity of monitoring of both traditional baseband SD-HD SDI video signals and DVB-ASI/IP Transport Streams. Demultiplexers, TS decoders, and a Multiviewer Processor are combined into a single device.

    Excelling the capabilities of ordinary multiviewers, the SL NEO 8000 offers inimitable functionality such as broadband and baseband monitoring, integrated test and measurement, remote control via VNC/WEB/SL NEO Client Software.

    Multi-function DVB MPEG-2/MPEG-4 Part 10-H.264 Encoders/Decoders that operate in Ultra HD/HD/SD modes and provide high-quality encoding/decoding operations. Encoders support the processing of incoming digital SDI signals and MPEG Transport Stream over DVB-ASI/IP for re-decoding, support ASI or IP (UDP/RTP/RTSP) Transport Stream outputs, depending on the SL NEO processor's configuration. Support Ultra HD/HD/SD (HD/SD, 4х 3G/6/12G SDI).

    Processing power of modern computer systems together with high performance SL NEO Software allows to combine in one system up to 16x independent H.264 coders for SD video or up to 6x H.264 encoders for HD.
