GMA Network, Inc. is a Philippine media broadcaster headquartered in Quezon City and with regional stations strategically located in over 9 major cities across the country.
GMA covers the National Basketball League using the SL NEO 7000 live slow motion, LSM, server to produce instant replays and the highlights of the matches. The system encodes concurrently 5 camera inputs into AVC-Intra 100, allowing the operator to view all angles and scroll with a highly intuitive jog/shuttle panel to any of the positions in order to mark the desired segments.
The operator can dynamically modify the instant replays speed from 100% to frame-by-frame. Moreover, the replays are stored in a playlist, with automated presets for the audio levels, the transition effects and the slow-motion speed, that is executed in each quarter and at the end of the basketball matches.
The content is exported, using the natively encoded AVC-Intra 100 files, for the repurpose on the after-match studio show and the sports section of the news program.
