Real-time graphics for live broadcast

Overview

SL NEO Broadcast Graphics is a high-performance, real-time broadcast graphics platform for creating, controlling, and delivering 2D graphics, titles, tickers, data-driven visuals, and channel branding across live production, automated playout, news, sports, and streaming workflows. It provides frame-accurate rendering and low-latency on-air output from a unified graphics engine.

The platform supports overlay and Fill+Key workflows across SDI, SMPTE ST 2110, NDI, and IP environments, with live video and file sources, keyframe animation, chroma key, DVE, squeeze-back effects, and dynamic text.

As part of the SL NEO Media Platform, Broadcast Graphics integrates with playout automation, newsroom systems via MOS, live data sources, REST API, and collaborative graphics tools, supporting both operator-controlled and fully automated graphics workflows.

Workflow

Graphics Editor

The Graphics Editor is a client-side tool integrated with SL NEO Media Database, enabling multiple users to collaboratively create and edit titles and graphics compositions.
▶ All assets and compositions are stored centrally on the server
▶ Rendering is performed in real time by SL NEO servers during playout
▶ Supports static images, 32-bit animations, video files, and audio layers
▶ Full keyframe animation control for every object
▶ Dynamic text formatting via tags for colors, backgrounds, and images

Data & Automation Integration

Live Data Sources
▶ RSS feeds
▶ XML / JSON / database connections
▶ File-based data sources
▶ Playlist-driven object parametrization
▶ Newsroom & Automation
▶ Full MOS protocol support for NRCS integration
▶ Chyron Intelligent Interface compatibility
▶ REST API for external systems and custom automation

3D/Game Engine Godot Integration

The optional Godot Engine module enables real-time rendering of 2D and 3D scenes, including camera tracking data.
This unlocks AR and VR workflows for television and online broadcasts, producing video streams with or without alpha channels for advanced compositing.

Dynamic Text Auto-Fitting & Layout Control

Automatically adapt object sizes and transformations based on dynamic text content. The system supports chained object transformations and automatic font scaling to ensure text always fits its container—maintaining clean, consistent layouts even with changing data.
