SL NEO MEDIA QC

Automated file-based QC
Automatically detects new or modified files
Independent rules for success and failure conditions
From container integrity to loudness compliance
Automated validation for broadcast and OTT media

Overview

SL NEO Media Quality Control (Media QC) is a fully automated, file-based media analysis engine designed to validate video, audio, container structure, subtitles, and metadata across a wide range of broadcast and OTT formats.
Media QC continuously monitors folders for new or modified media assets and applies configurable test profiles to ensure technical compliance before playout, archive, or delivery. Acting as a digital inspector, it detects errors early, prevents costly onair issues, and guarantees consistent media quality across production pipelines.
With powerful desktop and web interfaces, alerting logic, and API integration, Media QC fits seamlessly into modern broadcast, IPTV, and OTT workflows.

Integrated Ecosystem

The SL NEO Media QC is fully integrated into the SL NEO media services platform — a modular, software-defined environment where specialized modules operate together in real time across one or more hardware platforms.

Additional modules — including Easy Muxer, QC, and other workflow components — can be integrated to create a fully tailored broadcast solution:

Ingest
For checking and verifying captured streams.
Playout
For checking all media files scheduled for broadcast.
MAM
For checking all media assets stored in the system.
Transfer manager
For transferring media according to user-defined rules and commands

Use Cases

Pre-Playout Compliance
Validate files from post-production, MAM, or agencies before scheduling to avoid on-air issues
OTT / VOD QC
Ensure compliance with encoding, frame rate, and loudness requirements before publishing to HLS/DASH libraries.
Archive Ingest Validation
Verify media integrity before long-term storage and archival
Post-Transcode Gatekeeping
Use Media QC as a final checkpoint after transcoding to confirm no quality degradation occurred
