P2 Media Workflows with Combined Card Support

July 15, 2026

SkyLark has introduced a new P2 Combined Card storage type designed to simplify the way camera media is presented and handled within production and newsroom workflows.

With the new storage type, a complete P2 card can be represented as a single combined media asset, with individual clips joined according to their original card order.

This provides operators and editors with a more convenient way to work with camera recordings that may consist of multiple clips while logically representing a single piece of recorded content.

P2 card discovery has also been optimized. The updated workflow helps avoid duplicate card entries, reduces unnecessary deep folder scanning, and improves navigation when card structures are located inside subfolders.

Together, these improvements make P2 media easier to discover, browse, and use after ingest, reducing the amount of manual navigation required when working with camera cards.

The new functionality is designed for production and newsroom environments where fast access to recorded material is important and camera media needs to move efficiently from ingest to editing and further processing.
