SkyLark has expanded its Avid Interplay integration, providing more flexible media access and output management in production environments using multiple Avid storage volumes.
Interplay-connected storage can now work with multiple media volumes, allowing SkyLark systems to access content distributed across several Avid workspaces.
This is particularly useful in larger production infrastructures where media is not stored in a single location and different projects, departments, or workflows may use separate storage volumes.
Operators can also select the target output volume when rendering or transferring media to supported storage systems. This provides better control over where newly generated or transferred content is written and makes it easier to align SkyLark processing with an existing storage architecture.
The update also includes improvements to Avid Interplay egress workflows and media source resolution, as well as better handling of Unicode filenames for Avid OP-Atom MXF media on Windows.
With these enhancements, SkyLark can integrate more effectively into complex Avid-based production environments, giving operators greater control over media locations while maintaining a streamlined workflow between ingest, editing, processing, and storage.
