SkyLark has introduced a new Recording Timeline in AirManager, providing a visual workflow for creating and managing clips directly from continuous recording channels.
The new window displays one timeline row per recording channel on an absolute time axis, allowing operators to work with recorded material in a much more direct way.
Clips can be created directly on the timeline, from a File Monitor In/Out selection, from the Recording Channels window, or by dropping media from the Media Browser onto the corresponding recording channel.
Once created, clips can be adjusted directly on the timeline. Operators can move and resize them, refine In and Out points in the File Monitor, split clips at the playhead, edit metadata, select multiple clips, and jump directly to a clip in the Media Browser.
The workflow is also integrated with Transfer Manager. Each recording channel can have one or more transfer destinations, and operators can assign a clip to a destination using a simple checkbox or context menu command.
For workflows that require additional control, a commit mode can be enabled. In this case, clips are prepared first and transferred only after the operator explicitly commits them, using the existing Transfer Manager feature-gate mechanism.
Recording channel configuration is now published through the media database, so channels configured once can be discovered automatically by other AirManager clients on the network.
The Recording Timeline also supports metadata fields from the server schema, per-folder retention rules, and optional live recorder monitoring. When a recorder service is assigned to a channel, AirManager can display live video, recording status, current destination profile, input information, and other operational data directly from the timeline.
The new workflow reduces the number of manual steps required to turn continuous recordings into prepared clips and move them into downstream transfer and production workflows.
