SkyLark has expanded its integration with Avid Interplay, enabling complete media exchange between SkyLark production systems and Avid-based environments.
Avid Interplay can now be configured as a media storage within SkyLark, allowing operators to browse Interplay folders and access existing content directly from supported SkyLark workflows. Both master clips and sequences can be transferred from Interplay to other connected storage systems.
The integration also supports ingest into Interplay. Media transferred or recorded to an Interplay destination is written as Avid MXF and checked into Interplay as a master clip. Destination folders can be created automatically when required.
SkyLark also supports Interplay environments where media is distributed across multiple Avid workspaces. Media files are located using Media Indexer information, helping clips remain accessible even when their underlying media has been moved or consolidated between workspaces.
When writing to a multi-volume Interplay storage, operators can select the required target media volume from supported transfer and production workflows. The result is a more direct connection between SkyLark media processing, transfer, editing, and recording tools and established Avid infrastructures.
